Message Recently there has been alot of debate on iridum vs platinum.. well.. Iridium is the best of copper and platinum.. it combines the longevity of the platinums with the sparkness of copper.. that is why we all want them

we use them in our SR's etc.. however the VG is a different beast.. so i emailed NGK and asked for their input
here is the email

VehicleType: Car
Make: Nissan
Model: 300zx Twin Turbo
Year: 1991
Engine Type: Turbo 6cly

Comments:
I was wondering about switching to the iridium plugs from this
unit PFR6B-11B to the equivlent Iridium IX one..
Are the sizes different? are the plug lengths the same?

my car is modified.. see's higher boost pressures and undoubtedly higher temperatures..

what are you recommendations..
what are the benefits of using either plug?

Hello,

They don't produce an iridium spark plug for this application. This vehicle uses a special design.
